On a sunny day in May, the Fujifilm Medical Systems team gathered at the company’s UK headquarters in Bedford to officially open the new medical showroom and new mobile mammography trailer. Fujifilm were honoured to have Minister Shuichi Akamatsu, Economic Minister at the Embassy of Japan in London, cut the ribbons on the two new facilities. At a ceremony attended by Medical Systems staff and senior leaders from the wider Fujifilm business the teams raised a glass to celebrate the launch.

The medical showroom will be a key resource for Fujifilm as their business continues to grow, and will be used for a variety of training and demonstration purposes, for both customers and staff. It features a wide range of digital radiography systems, including the FDR Smart X room solution, the FDR Go PLUS and FDR nano mobile x-ray units and the Newtom VGi evo dental x-ray system. Workstations demonstrating the SYNAPSE Enterprise Imaging Solution provide a complete portfolio of digital diagnostic systems, including PACS, VNA and 3D. The Fujifilm Point of Care (POCT) In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) portfolio is also on show, including analysers which offer full blood chemistry, haematology, detection of influenza and ammonia blood analysis.

The mobile mammography unit features the AMULET Innovality, which can be used for both screening and symptomatic mammography. It offers a full range of functionality in a single system, designed for flexibility and patient comfort. The new mobile unit will support Fujifilm customers for training and continuity of service during transition to a new room, and will also offer an inclusive approach to procurement, enabling the full team to attend a system demonstration. Fujifilm will also be taking the mammography unit to the Cambridge Breast Conference, where delegates can explore the AMULET Innovality and the trailer.

“We are delighted to be able to launch two new facilities which will benefit both our customers and our staff “

said Adrian Waller, General Manager of Fujifilm Medical Systems.

“Fujifilm are committed to delivering the best experience to our customers, and the investment in the showroom and the mobile mammography unit will enhance and broaden the services and demonstrations we are able to offer. There is an open invitation to any radiology professionals who are interested in seeing either facility to come and visit us!”
